3D Hubs
3D Hubs was founded by Bram de Zwart and Brian Garret and has been featured in Gizmodo, Forbes, Fast Company, and Wired.
3D Hubs is a network that connects 3D printing services with people. 3dhubs.com states, “At 3D Hubs we believe everyone should have easy access to 3D Printing. We do this by connecting people who want to print to the people owning the machines.”
To 3D print your model, simply upload your file and enter your location. You can select a 3D printer that’s right for you by considering price, location, and materials.
Once you select a printer, you can ask questions and the service provider will have 24 hours to respond to your request. Once your order is accepted, you will make a payment to 3D Hubs. 3D Hubs will then hold your payment until you have received your print and the quality is up to your standards. The payment will then be forwarded to the 3D printing service provider.
As a 3D printing service, you can list your service on 3D Hubs for free. Once you create your Hub, you can add details about your printer(s) and pricing. Each time you recieve an order, you will have 24 hours to accept or decline the offer. After accepting orders, you’ll print the object, deliver the 3D printed object, and get paid.
